THE OPPORTUNITY
Due to ongoing growth, ALPA Equipment Ltd. is currently seeking a dynamic, motivated, and driven individual to join our sales team. This isn’t just another sales job — it’s a chance to take charge of a respected territory, build lasting customer relationships, and represent leading equipment brands with the support of a well-established, family-owned Canadian company.
Under the supervision of the Branch Manager, the Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting and selling our forestry equipment brands, including Landrich, Ponsse, and Rotobec, within your assigned territory.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Maintain relationships with existing customers while prospecting and developing your assigned territory.
- Contact & arrange meetings with potential customers via telephone, e-mail, or face-to-face.
- Generate leads & identify opportunities for new business within the market.
- Negotiate pricing with potential customers and close sales.
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Continuous improvement of product knowledge.
- Invite customers to company-sponsored events.
- Attend all industry trade shows and events.
- Work closely with the accounts receivable department.
REQUIREMENTS
Education, experience, and skills required:
- High School Diploma with relevant experience.
- Computer skills.
- Excellent customer relations skills.
- Ambitious and driven personality.
- Confident and experienced negotiator.
- Relevant industry experience.
- Well organized and self-motivated.
- Valid driver’s License: clean abstract.
- 75% travel is required.
- Ability to work in an environment of changing priorities.
- Ability to work 40 + hours per week.
- Fluent in French and English.
