Sales Representative, Construction & Agriculture Equipment | Truro, N.S.
Position based out of our Truro, NS branch, with the flexibility to reside anywhere within the Halifax to Yarmouth territory. Regular presence at the branch is required.

While forestry remains a strong foundation for our business, our Construction & Agriculture Divisions are growing steadily, and we’re looking for the right person to help lead that growth.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Due to growth, ALPA Equipment Ltd. is currently seeking a dynamic, motivated, and driven individual to join our Sales team. This isn’t just another sales job — it’s your chance to take ownership of a territory, build lasting customer relationships, and represent a respected brand with the support of a close-knit, Maritime-rooted company.
Under the supervision of the Branch Manager, the Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting and selling our Construction & Agriculture equipment lines, including Hyundai, JCB, and others, within your assigned territory.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers while prospecting and developing your assigned territory.
- Schedule meetings with existing and potential customers via telephone, e-mail, or face-to-face.
- Generate leads & identify new business opportunities in your assigned market.
- Work with customers to define their equipment needs to offer them solutions.
- Prepare customer quotes, product presentations and demos.
- Negotiate pricing with potential customers and close sales.
- Plan and execute customer events.
- Continuous improvement of product knowledge.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows and events.
REQUIREMENTS
Education, experience, and skills required:
- High School Diploma with relevant experience
- Computer skills
- Excellent customer relationship skills
- Ambitious and driven personality
- Confident and experienced negotiator
- Relevant industry experience would be an asset
- Well organized and self-motivated
- Valid driver’s license
- Travel is required
- Ability to work in an environment of changing priorities
- Ability to work 40 + hours per week
- Fluent in French and English
