About the Opportunity
ALPA Equipment Ltd. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our accounting team at our Head Office in Balmoral, NB. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent university graduate or a graduate of a two-year college accounting program looking to build a strong foundation in business, or for someone with accounting experience eager to grow and advance their career.

The role begins with a focus on Accounts Payable, with opportunities to expand into additional accounting responsibilities as the candidate develops in the position. Opportunities for growth within the company will depend on the employee’s performance and the skills and initiative they demonstrate. We are looking for someone committed to accuracy, continuous improvement, and success in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities – Accounts Payable
• Ensure all payments are properly authorized and processed according to company policies
• Verify invoice and credit note accuracy in relation to general ledger accounts, taxes, etc.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
• Respond promptly to supplier inquiries
• Generate reports and perform accounts payable analysis
• Prepare data for weekly payment runs
• Conduct account research and reconciliation

Other Responsibilities
• Provide reports and analysis as requested by management
• Effectively manage multiple projects, balancing priorities and ensuring deadlines are met
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems

Requirements
• Bilingual (French/English) – verbal and written
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work in a dynamic, open-concept environment with shifting priorities
• Availability to work 40+ hours per week
